Barbour show us why they are still the kings of classic outerwear with their latest Domus Waterproof jacket which now arrives with an updated Barbourtech® fabric.
Well it seems like the heatwaves have now been replaced by never-ending downpours which means it's probably time to ditch the shorts & tees for functional outerwear & waterproof-wears. If you've ever found yourself umming and ahing about what jacket to go for you really can't go wrong with a bit of Barbour. As much as Barbour's heritage will always be in waxed cotton fabrics & that classic countryside style, they've really upped their outerwear game in recent years to cater for the growing technical outerwear game. Mixing the old with the new, in-house constructed fabric technology & outerwear silhouettes that remind you why you've got way too many jackets in your wardrobe, this latest Domus Waterproof jacket from the South Shields born brand perfectly captures all the Barbour goodness.

Barbour's origins go way back to 1894 and South Shields in the North East of England. Originally founded by John Barbour, it was actually John's grandson who developed the brand's signature waxed cotton fabric for motorcycle uniforms. The durable waxed cotton fabric was robust and water repellent making it ideal for speedy road use. Barbour motorcycle jackets from the 1950s also had a tartan lining which added extra warmth for its wearer. The colourful Scottish cloth provided excellent insulation for winter road use, as well as extra padding for the garment. Over the years Barbour has become a highly respected British heritage brand & an all time dressers favourite.
