The Ellesse Mont Canvas Jacket Now Arrives in a Military Inspired Olive Colourway
The legendary Italian sportswear brand, Ellesse, bring back the Mont jacket from their archives in an updated canvas fabric.
As much as Ellesse might of made its mark on the tennis world thanks to endorsement deals with tennis royalty like Boris Becker, Guillermo Vilas & Chris Evert, it was also massive on the slopes during the 1980s. The Leonardo Servadio founded sportswear brand put its style driven sportswear & Apres-Ski lines on some of the top skiers & winter sports athletes of the era. The half ball tennis logo also actually features the tips of two skis, highlighting the brand's very own connection & dominance within the winter sport. The legendary ski range from Ellesse had everything from skin-tight lycra suits, ski-vests & colour-blocking down jackets. For the Casuals the ski-range stuff from Ellesse was really a no brainer. Re-introduced back in 2016 as part of the White Mountain Range, the Ellesse Mont jacket drew inspiration from the original Penguin logo ski-line range of the 1980s. Giving the military style smock the 'après-ski' treatment, the Mont jacket brought back the legendary ski styles of the era with bold colourways & branding. The celebrated Mont jacket now returns in canvas form in a new olive colourway. Featuring an updated cotton canvas fabric, the branding is also toned down when compared to the "big logo" branding of the original 2016 Mont model. Embroidered 'ellesse' & semi-palla logos feature to the chest with a large cagoule style kangaroo pocket to the front. Other highlights include a quarter zip closure with a fixed hood & adjustable toggles. OG ski outerwear details are continued with a side seam zip opening & lower welt pockets.
