Fila Bring Back More Snow Time Line Inspired Ski-Wear With The Siro Crew Knit
What's always fascinating about the Casuals is their adaptation of traditional sportswear, which incorporated styles from golf, football, handball, tennis & even ski-wear.
It's like a group of lads walked through a traditional sportswear store and picked bits from each section to create the unique "casual" look. This is what they actually did, with sportswear stores such as Hurleys in the North West spotting the trend to cater for a new found Fila obsessed customer. Before the days of "athleisure" & internet shopping the Casuals were literally walking into sports stores that sold snooker cues, trophies, dart boards & tennis rackets to shop for the latest Borg & McEnroe track tops. These stores were for people who actually played the sports, not some young Casual kid who listened to David Bowie & sported a wedge haircut. It was this style of "casual commerce" that really introduced sub-labels such as the Snow Time Line from Fila into a completely different market. Drawing inspiration from the original subzero sublabel, Fila have now introduced the Siro Crew Knit in classic Snow Time Line style.

Marketed at elite skiers, and those who could afford winter ski holidays in the Alps, the Snow Time line incorporated Pierluigi Rolando's style driven sportswear into modern ski-wear with flamboyant ski-jackets, ski-suits & knitwear. For the Casuals the Snow Time line was a no brainer, with its ski heritage & 'Made in Italy' labelling, the sub-label became a key part of the dressers uniform we know today. Favouring Snow Time Line roll-necks & knitwear which were usually combined with jeans & trainers it was the ultimate 80s Casual look. Mixed together into a melting pot of performance sportswear which was actually bought from traditional sports stores, rare European trainers & one-upmanship, the original DNA of the Snow Time Line now arrives at its spiritual home as part of an exclusive release.
