Streets Like A Jungle So Call The Police: Introducing the Fila Vintage Albarn Track Top

The Fila Vintage Albarn track top revives the legendary sportswear style as famously worn by Blur's Damon Albarn in the video for 'Girls & Boys' from 1994.

Described by Blur's very own bassist Alex James as "Disco drums, nasty guitars and Duran Duran bass", the legendary 90s tune 'Girls & Boys' was the soundtrack of the summer of '94. With its catchy as hell bassline and Albarn's on point lyrics such as "Streets like a jungle, so call the police" & "Love in the '90s is paranoid" the 18-30 package holiday themed video took Britpop into the mainstream. With piano house remixes courtesy of Pianoman a year later in '95, Blur's 'Girls & Boys' merged everything from euro disco, 80s new romantic & new wave to create one of the greatest Britpop anthems of all time. It wasn't just the music though that made the song so iconic, it was Albarn's passion for retro sportswear, whether it was a retro 80s Sergio Tacchini track top for some band shoot in a boozer somewhere or a Slazenger track top in the official video for 'Parklife'. As far as 'Girls & Boys' was concerned it was all about that vintage Fila top worn by Damon Albarn. If you were knocking about in the summer of '94 you just knew it was a vintage pick up originally from the 1980s.
