Kappa Ulrich Track Pants Sky Blue

The Kappa Full Tracksuit is The Ultimate B-Boy Rig Out

Taking us back to an era of spray cans, rolls of kitchen lino, boom boxes & the original B-Boys, the Kappa tracksuit is just about as iconic as it gets when it comes to classic 80s sportswear.

Kappa might have originated in Turin, Italy back in 1967, but it was the 'mean streets' of the Bronx in the late 1970s where the 'Omini' logo brand really found its home. A key style of the original B-Boys, it was the 'windmill' spinning breakers that took Kappa in as their own, as wearing expensive Italian sportswear became just as important to one-upping rival crews as busting out the latest street moves. The B-Boy connection quickly spread across the Atlantic to crews on the inner city estates of Manchester, Birmingham, London & Leeds, merging the lines between 'casual fashion' & the hip hop influences from the East Coast of the USA. As far as original 80s sportswear from the golden of one-upmanship is concerned it doesn't really get much better than the full Kappa tracksuit.

As seen on the backs of the original 'breakers' as well as Blur's very own front man Damon Albarn and even Sir Bobby Robson, the classic Kappa style now returns to 80s Casual Classics in full tracksuit form with all its retro charm. Serie A legends, AC Milan, won the Champions League for the 3rd time in 1989 sporting the famous 'Omini' logo, with the likes of Ronaldo, Jose Mourinho and Louis Van Gaal also getting in on the Robe di Kappa action at Barcelona in 1997. Kappa have also previously sponsored other famous football clubs such as Manchester City, Leeds United, Tottenham Hotspur, Ajax, Napoli & Juventus over the last 30 years. Famous for its back to back, naked man and woman silhouette logo, Kappa's sportswear heritage is rich in nostalgia, footballing legends and various subcultures.
