Patrick Throw it Back to the Speedy Athletic Tracks With The Brondby Trainer
The Patrick Brondby trainer is a retro runner inspired silhouette that takes us back to the 1980s running boom in true 80s Casual Classics style.
If you've been following 80s Casual Classics story for the last 20 years you'll know that bringing back retro brands has been a fundamental part of our story. Starting with classic tennis tennis brands like Sergio Tacchini, Fila & a bit later Ellesse, we've continued to work with the "casual classics" to revive archive styles to the original wearers as well as a new generation of retro fans. More recently we've been working with Patrick, first bringing back the classic cagoule after literally hundreds of requests from our followers. The cagoule was closely followed by a range of OG Patrick silhouettes such as the Liverpool & the bombproof Bergan trainer. Our next project with Patrick to kick things off for 2026 comes in the form of the Brondby trainer, an archive inspired retro runner, which takes us back to the speedy athletic tracks & long distance marathon runners of the 1980s running boom.

As far as classic 80s sportswear brands are concerned they don't really get much better than Patrick. Thanks to endorsement deals with the likes of Kevin Keegan & Michel Platini, Patrick was the football boots brand of the era. Every 80s kid wanted a bit of Patrick on their feet and it didn't really matter if the soles were studded or gum soled. Patrick were also big on the tracks throughout the 1970s & 1980s with their revolutionary running trainers. It was Patrick's original running silhouettes that really captured the running boom of the era with their signature two stripes & premium 'Made in France' styles.
