As much as we might automatically associate Patrick with Kevin Keegan's legendary perm & cagoule wearing Casuals, their running heritage is just as big as any other sportswear brand of the era. Alongside football boots & 'all purpose' training shoes, Patrick were also big on the tracks throughout the 1970s & 1980s with their revolutionary running trainers. Catering for the speedy athletic tracks & long distance marathon runners, Patrick's original running silhouettes captured the running boom of the 1970s with their signature two stripes & 'Made in France' styles. After previously reviving a plethora of Patrick's archival silhouettes from the Liverpool to the bombproof Bergan trainer, our next project with Patrick comes in the form of the Monza trainer, an archive inspired retro runner.

As far as classic 80s sportswear brands are concerned they don't really get much better than Patrick. Thanks to endorsement deals with the likes of Kevin Keegan & Michel Platini, Patrick was the football boots brand of the era. Every 80s kid wanted a bit of Patrick on their feet and it didn't really matter if the soles were studded or gum soled.
